Founder, Wings4heroes.org
Lyubim (pronounced Loo-beem) Kogan is a five-time first-generation immigrant, Winter Olympian, 9/11 World Trade Center survivor, and NYU Stern graduate with degrees in finance and accounting. He was the first full-time NYU Stern student in the school’s history to qualify for the Olympic Games. After co-authoring a national bestseller with Steve Forbes and speaking at the United Nations alongside Brian Tracy, Lyubim disappeared from public life for a decade—moving to Ukraine in 2015 to rebuild what war had torn apart. There, he led the turnaround of a collapsing national infrastructure company with no roadmap, no salary, and no margin for error. Today, Lyubim leads Wings4Heroes.org, a mission he founded to help amputee veterans rediscover purpose and strength through the transformative power of flight and shared camaraderie. His work is about more than recovery — it’s about keeping a promise to those who gave everything.
